CATEGORY GUIDE
Sanitary silicone tubing, pharmaceutical-grade silicone tubing, and peristaltic pump tubing are not interchangeable selection categories. For static fluid transfer, first confirm material purity, adsorption and extractables risk, temperature, pressure, and sterilization method. For peristaltic pumping, also verify pump-head compression, speed, back pressure, continuous run time, particle shedding, and dosing stability.
Sani-Tech, TYGON, PharMed, PharmaPure, and PharmaFluor product families cover silicone, TPE, chemical-resistant co-extruded materials, and FEP. Compare each model against the fluid and operating conditions rather than substituting by size or appearance alone.
When requesting a quotation or selecting a product, provide the inner diameter, outer diameter, length, fluid, temperature, pressure, vacuum, sterilization method, and whether the tubing will be used with a peristaltic pump. For final filling or single-use systems, also provide filling accuracy, connections, bags, pre-sterilization, and validation documentation requirements.
